Summer Skills Sessions 2020

  • Math or Reading skills need a workout? Our required summer reading and math assignments will be so helpful in keeping those young minds sharp, but if your child needs a bit more help, we are offering a Math and Reading Workout for our elementary students. Staffed by Education interns from Auburn University of Montgomery (AUM) and led by Dr. Nicholas Bourke, we are offering a review of some of our 4th quarter math topics for rising third through sixth graders and reading skills practice for rising first and second graders.

Out of an abundance of caution and in order to meet the CDC guidelines for COVid-19 safety, we are limiting each session to 30 students. These sessions will consist of interns working with small groups of 3-4 students. The interns will be wearing masks or face shields, and parents will need to provide their students with masks, as well.

Each child may register for one session:
    • Math for rising 3rd and 4th graders, July 13-16 from 9:00-11:00 AM hosted at our St. Bede Campus
    • Math for rising 5th and 6th graders, July 13-16 from 12:00-2:00 PM hosted at our St. Bede Campus
    • Reading for rising 1st and 2nd graders, July 20-23 from 9:00-11:00 AM hosted at our Holy Spirit Campus

The cost for each session is $45.00. The number of participants is limited, and students will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

If you have any questions, please contact Laurie Gulley at lgulley@montgomerycatholic.org.

Each student must complete and submit both the registration form & payment to be considered fully registered.

Once you have registered, please print out, complete, and sign the Summer Liability Waiver form (2 pages). Bring this to the office by the first day of your child's summer skills session.
