Building on Faith, Family and Tradition Capital Campaign

God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Word tells us that unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it. We ask for Your blessing on our work to build something great for Your glory. We ask that You move our hearts to give generously of our time, talent, and treasure as a living sacrifice of love to the praise of Your Name and the advancement of Your Kingdom. Guide us in this campaign founded upon faith, family and tradition as we entrust all our efforts to the maternal care and prayers of our Lady of Loretto. We ask all these things in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.
As you may know, Montgomery Preparatory School (MCPS) stakeholders evaluated our school’s strengths, challenges and opportunities through a nine-month strategic planning process in 2015-16.
In February and March, we conducted a planning study to measure the level of support for our proposed projects. The positive response to the study indicates strong support for a capital campaign that will focus on two major enhancements to our campus:
    1. Building a new gymnasium
    2. Converting the Fr. Pat Delahunty Gymnasium into a dedicated performing arts facility
We have received official approval from the archdiocese to begin a $3.5 million capital campaign, Building on Faith, Family and Tradition! The $6.5 million project will be funded by this capital campaign, our continuing capital assessment fees, and an accompanying loan if needed.
For over 144 years, we have seen much growth through the offering of prayers and gifts from our faithful community. As we continue the work begun by the Sisters of Loretto, we must strive to improve our school. In order to better serve our students as well as the greater Montgomery community, we must come together to build for the future.
    We need to act now!
Your support of this campaign will help us:
    •  Enhance our athletic and physical education programs
    •  Expand our performing arts programs
    •  Attract students and ensure our growth
With the help of almost 50 volunteers, we reached our Campaign goal in July 2017, just under twelve months after the campaign began.
This is an accomplishment that could not have happened without the prayers, support, and hard work of our Montgomery Catholic family. In less than 12 months you accomplished what some said could never be done.
Please continue to pray for this campaign as we reach beyond our goal and move forward with this project.
Please prayerfully consider how you can best support this effort in giving a meaningful financial gift to promote Building on Faith, Family and Tradition!
