Mr. Justin Castanza

President

Justin Castanza became Montgomery Catholic Preparatory School's fourth President in 2020 after serving as Principal of grades 9-12 for four years and High School Dean of Students for two years. Castanza is a 2001 graduate of Montgomery Catholic. He received his undergraduate degree in Secondary Education and his Counselor Education masters degree in Student Affairs from Mississippi State University. Castanza acted as the Associate Executive Director of the YMCA's Camp Chandler for five years before returning to his Alma mater as a teacher, and was named YMCA's Man of the Year in 2019. He and his wife, Meg, have three children: Vincent, Natalie, and Sal and are members of St. Bede the Venerable Catholic Church.

Mrs. Eileen Aaron

Middle/High School Principal

Eileen Aaron was named Interim Principal for the Middle and High School Campus for the 2020-2021 academic year after serving as the 7-12 Resource Teacher since 2016. Aaron is a familiar face to Montgomery Catholic.  She is mother to three graduates and two current students, and loving wife to math department faculty member Rick Aaron. Aaron received her undergraduate degree in Psychology with a minor in English from John Carroll University in Cleveland, Ohio, and a graduate degree in School Psychology from the University of Akron.  Throughout her career, she has served as a licensed specialist in School Psychology and counselor at Montgomery’s COPE Pregnancy Center. She and her husband Rick are members of Holy Spirit Catholic Church.

Vice Principal of Academic Affairs

Laura Reilly was named Vice Principal of Academic Affairs for grades 7-12 in August of 2020. Reilly is a Montgomery native and an MCPS gradute, she returned home after spending more than ten years living abroad, where she served as a teacher and administrator in international schools worldwide including South Carolina, Malaysia, Israel, Turkey, Uganda and most recently Mexico. Reilly received undergraduate degrees in History and Secondary Education at the College of Charleston in Charleston, South Carolina. She has completed graduate work at The Citadel, Charleston Southern University, Clemson University, and Bilkent University in Ankara, Turkey.  In addition to earning teaching certifications in History, AP US History, and IB Psychology, Reilly is also a National Board Certified Social Studies instructor for grades 6 through 12 and holds a Leadership Certificate from Harvard EdX - Leaders in Learning.

Middle School Assistant Principal 

Julie Wood became Middle School assistant principal in June 2012 after serving as a Middle/High School Physical Education/Coach/Health teacher for two years. Wood is a 1982 graduate from McGill-Toolen Catholic High School in Mobile, Alabama. She holds undergraduate degrees in Elementary Education and Physical Education from Huntingdon College, and a Masters degree in Education Leadership from Auburn University at Montgomery. Wood began her teaching career in 1988, she also served on the Holy Spirit Leadership team for the 2016-2017 academic year.

St. Bede Campus Principal 

Laurie Gulley is the Principal at our St. Bede Elementary campus. Gulley is a 1984 graduate of Montgomery Catholic and attended St. Bede from second to eighth grade. She received a degree in Early Childhood Education from Spring Hill College in 1988 and worked as Youth Director and Pre-School teacher at St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Mobile until 1992. She holds a masters degree in Instructional Leadership from Auburn University at Montgomery. Gulley served as a third grade teacher at our St. Bede campus for 16 years before becoming the Assistant Principal in 2008. Gulley also served on the Holy Spirit Campus Administrative Team 2012-14 and 2016-17.

Mrs. Nancy Foley

Holy Spirit Campus Principal 

Nancy Foley became the Principal of our Holy Spirit campus in 2017. Foley has served as a fourth grade teacher at the Holy Spirit campus since it opened in 2012, and has 33 years of teaching experience in Catholic, public and magnet schools. Foley received a degree in Elementary Education from the University of South Alabama and holds a masters degree in Elementary Education from Troy University - Montgomery.
